More of your portfolio’s complexity, handled in one place.
A family office’s portfolio does not stay inside one currency or one entity. The relationships around it change, ownership moves, and the questions that come up along the way need a clear path to an answer.
September’s releases focused on those everyday realities. Version 2.9.0 brings foreign exchange into the portfolio workflow, adds trustees and beneficiaries to your entity records, and handles investment transfers between entities with the corresponding ledger entries. It also gives you a way to reach our team from the same place you do your work.
1 — Foreign Exchange, In View
A transaction’s currency is part of its context. When your portfolio works across currencies, you need to be able to record that context and see the exposures it creates.
This month’s additions bring FX reporting, exposure tracking, and recording into Unlimited.ai, including support for manual currency conversion. You can record a transaction in its original currency and bring foreign exchange into your portfolio workflow.
For an office managing investments across currencies, that means more of the information needed to understand the portfolio sits alongside the positions themselves.

2 — Trustees and Beneficiaries, Linked to Your Entities
An entity record tells you what a structure is. The people connected to it help explain how that structure fits into the family’s broader picture.
You can now create named Trustee and Beneficiary entries and assign them to Entities. Add them while editing an entity, and reuse an entry wherever it applies.
Trustees and beneficiaries are organized in separate categories rather than treated as additional entities. That keeps the distinction clear: the entity is the structure; the trustee or beneficiary is a person connected to it.
The result is a more useful entity record, with those relationships kept alongside the entity they belong to.

3 — Transfer Investments Between Entities
Ownership changes are part of managing a family’s capital. An investment may move entirely to another entity, or only part of the position may transfer.
You can now move all or part of an investment between entities, with the corresponding ledger entries handled automatically.
Choose full or partial ownership. For a partial transfer, specify the amount in dollars or as a percentage of NAV, then set the as-of date. The platform handles the entries behind the move.
That gives the transfer a defined amount and effective date, while keeping the ownership change connected to the records it affects.

4 — A New Way to Reach Support
Sometimes the next thing you need is an answer. Sometimes it is a bug fix. Sometimes it is a feature that would make your workflow better.
You can now submit help tickets, bug reports, and feature requests directly in Unlimited.ai. Open Raise a Support Ticket from your profile menu to reach our team while you work.
Submitting requests directly in Unlimited gives our team the details they need in one place, helping us respond quickly and address your questions faster.
This is part of streamlining our customer support framework as our ecosystem grows: a clearer path from the question you have to the team that can help.

More Improvements
Alongside the headline releases, we made smaller changes across navigation, liability management, document extraction, and account reliability:
Entities and Investments: Entity-level privileges, favorite Entities, and infinite scrolling for Investments.
Liabilities: Edit Liability Principal from the Liability Page. Commitments can no longer be added to Liabilities.
Distribution notices: Automatic recycling uses offsetting subscription entries, and extraction defaults to the notice date.
Reliability: Duplicate-domain auto-forwarding failures are handled, and password resets are rate-limited.
Unlimited On The Road!
We're sponsoring several family office conferences this month and our founder will be attending. Reach out if you'll be at one of these great events:
October 8: The Family Office Association (TFOA) Annual Symposium, Austin

We hope to see you there!
What This Adds Up To
Our kaizen practice is built around a simple idea: nothing is ever finished, and small improvements compound.
September brings more of the details that make a family office portfolio complex into the place where you manage it: the currencies behind the transactions, the people connected to the entities, and the ownership changes between them. It also makes it easier to tell us what you need next.
The best way to understand these updates is to see them through the lens of your own data. Book a guided walkthrough with David, and we’ll show you how they fit your workflow.
We’re building the platform we always wished existed when we were in the investor seat. Thank you for being part of the Unlimited.ai journey.
